This recorded clinical training provides licensed clinicians with the advanced tools, frameworks, and strategies required to conduct high-quality immigration psychological evaluations. By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the clinical and ethical responsibilities of mental health professionals when conducting immigration evaluations, including role boundaries, documentation protocols, and informed consent procedures.

  • Identify and differentiate between key types of immigration evaluations (e.g., VAWA, U Visa, T Visa, Asylum, Extreme Hardship, and Good Faith Marriage cases), and recognize appropriate clinical approaches for each.

  • Apply culturally responsive and trauma-informed interviewing techniques when gathering sensitive client narratives for immigration assessments.

  • Demonstrate proper use of professional language, structure, and format in immigration evaluation reports to ensure objectivity, legal appropriateness, and clinical clarity.

  • List essential administrative steps in the evaluation process, including attorney coordination, pre-session preparation, client onboarding, and post-evaluation procedures.

  • Evaluate relevant clinical tools and cultural considerations when selecting assessments and integrating supporting documentation for diverse populations.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), with extensive experience in conducting immigration evaluations, including VAWA, U Visa, T Visa, Asylum, and Hardship cases. 

Having completed more than 150 assessments, I bring both expertise and cultural sensitivity to my work, providing clear, objective, and well-structured evaluations that honor each client’s unique story.
