By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Identify legal and regulatory considerations surrounding homeschooling in various states, including documentation and compliance expectations. 

• Describe the role of mental health professionals in supporting homeschooling families, including assessment, intervention, and referral practices. 

• Examine the potential social, emotional, and developmental impacts of homeschooling on children and adolescents. 

• Evaluate family dynamics, caregiver stress, and parent-child roles in homeschool settings and how these may affect therapeutic outcomes. 

• Apply culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches when working with homeschooling populations. 

• Develop strategies for collaboration with homeschool educators, parents, and support networks to promote academic and emotional well-being.
